ASRS
System Design - Automated Material Handling
Retrotech offers total system design,
manufacturing, installation and customer support-providing
you with a complete management approach to your requirements.
Through ASRS System Design automation, the manual flow of
materials and related information within warehouse facilities
is eliminated or significantly reduced. A well-planned System
design allows faster turn-around time, increased productivity
and higher ROI.

Retrotech
offers several choices to establish AS/RS system design
Complete ASRS System Design Services:
Retrotech provides firm price preliminary engineering contracts
to thoroughly investigate business requirements, AS/RS
solutions and validation of the solution for fit, form,
function, and performance by modeling and emulation of
the 'future" needs design. This approach allows detail
designs to be scrutinized, priced firm, validated without
a major capital investment.
The client can always say no to
moving forward as the due diligence process moves through
its steps.
Steps:
- The Functional Requirements document
(FRD) development assures plain English description of
the business requirements.
- The System Design Specification
(SDS) takes the FRD and translates into an ASRS and /or
material handling design that is detailed and clearly
quantifiable.
- The Functional Specification
Document puts sequence of operations, equipment and software/hardware
into a clear and defined document that would operate
the new automated system.
- The System Performance Analysis
is a document that is the output of the model & system
emulation that can clearly identify the system performance
as developed in the SDS and validate or point out the
need to modify the design. This document forces any changes
in design to get the final price and delivery determined
at a 98% success rate, without having to build the design
first.

Rough order of magnitude (ROM) and Budgetary
design services:
Retrotech provides free ROM design to
help clients determine technical and financial feasibility
of using ASRS. The outcome is a basic description of the
system, its operation, the equipment and performance offered,
footprint and cube required and any assumptions used.
Budgetary designs usually follow
a ROM process and extends the process into delivering a
higher analysis of material flow characteristics and likely
software operations and offers a more concise description
and price. This may be funded if difficult or free when
complexity of design is low. |
