ASRS, AGV, Activ, WMS Preventative Maintenance

We have increased our staffing with experienced ASRS technicians and are always looking to partner with local organizations that can provide quick turnaround for emergency needs. Retrotech has been in the Automated Storage and Retrieval business since 1986, providing everything from minor component repair on existing AS/R systems, regardless of manufacturer, to fully integrated and automated warehouses.

A scheduled Preventative Maintenance inspection will consist of a minimum of one Retrotech technician working with at least one customer supplied technician for an 8-hour shift, or two Retrotech technicians. The technicians will inspect and adjust the components of the crane per an extensive AS/RS specific PM checklist.

Typical items for ASRS inspections and AS/RS preventive maintenance on the checklist include:

  • Lifting systems, inspection and adjust as necessary.
  • Motors and motor controllers, check operation.
  • Gear reducers, check operation and fluid levels.
  • Brakes check operation and adjust as necessary.
  • Guidance systems, horizontal and vertical, check operation.
  • Structural mast and base inspect for cracks, loose hardware, etc. and adjust as necessary.
  • Electro-mechanical sensors check operation and position, adjust as necessary.
  • Photoelectric sensors check operation and position, adjust as necessary.
  • Critical fasteners inspect condition and check tightness, adjust as necessary.
  • Wheel assemblies, inspect for wear, check operation, and adjust as necessary. (PLEASE NOTE: This inspection does not include a full wheel alignment, when desired)
  • Floor rail and anchors, inspect for wear and loose anchors.
  • Safety devices inspect per guidelines of ASME B30.13, as applicable.
  • Power Bar and collectors, inspect for alignment, cleanliness, address as necessary.

A completed report will identify system details such as the current condition of the system, a listing of any observed faulty parts, potential future breakdowns or safety hazards. Adjustments and lubrication are included. An estimate of other repairs recommended or required will be provided along with a detail of the frequency of repairs or breakdown trends.
Retrotech understands how important responsive service is to business.
